Our Commitment to the Environment

INFORGE CONSULTING

Practical commitments to responsible business operations and continuing improvement.

Published and last reviewed: 10 October 2026.

Practical, responsible working

InForge Consulting Limited aims to use resources responsibly and avoid unnecessary waste in its day-to-day consulting activities. The commitments below describe the working practices we seek to follow as a small UK consulting business.

They are practical commitments, rather than claims of measured environmental achievement. We do not claim carbon neutrality, net zero, zero emissions, environmental certification or independently verified sustainability performance.

Business travel

We prioritise online meetings when physical attendance adds little value. Where travel is necessary, we aim to plan it efficiently and encourage public transport where practical and appropriate.

We consider environmental impact alongside client needs, accessibility, time and operational practicality. Some engagements may require driving, flying or meeting in person; this policy does not promise to eliminate those forms of travel.

Digital-first communication and collaboration

We prefer digital communications and documentation. Where appropriate, we share proposals, reports and presentations electronically and use online meetings and collaboration tools. We aim to avoid unnecessary paper printing while recognising that a printed or alternative format may be useful or required, including for accessibility.

Printing, materials and office resources

We aim to print only where useful or required and encourage double-sided printing where appropriate. We seek to reduce unnecessary paper, packaging and disposable materials, and to reuse and recycle materials where practical.

We aim to use office energy and equipment responsibly, considering whether equipment needs to be running and whether existing resources can continue to serve their purpose.

Purchasing and suppliers

Where relevant and practical, we consider resource efficiency, durability and environmental factors in purchasing and supplier decisions alongside service quality, cost and operational needs. We seek clear information about relevant environmental claims rather than assuming that a label or general claim establishes a benefit.

Continuing improvement

We seek to review and improve these working practices as InForge develops. Any future statements about measured reductions, certifications or environmental performance should be supported by appropriate evidence and describe their scope and limitations clearly.
